### Homework

• Homework will be assigned by Tuesday, but is not to be turned in.  Instead, you will be quizzed on a few similar problems the following Tuesday, during the first 10 minutes of lecture.  One quiz will be dropped from your grade.
• It is very important that you actually do the homework (instead of simply looking at it), because the quizzes are time-constrained, and require you to solve problems and/or write proofs.  If you have done the homework however, the quizzes should be straightforward.
• These assignments are a minimum; practicing on additional problems is strongly advised.
