I am currently working at NEC Labs America.

I completed my PhD in Computer Science at University of California, San Diego in February 2018. I was advised by Yoav Freund and David Kleinfeld. My research focuses on applying machine learning to analyze cellular-resolution images of the brain and construct atlas of neuronal cell types and connections in a data-driven way. I also worked on robotic vision / SLAM in the lab of Thomas Bewley and on autonomous driving at Honda Research Institute.

I graduated from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering (with first class honours), where I worked on textual information retrieval and was advised by Prof. Pascale Fung.
