Kai-En Lin

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the CSE department at UC San Diego, advised by Prof. Ravi Ramamoorthi and supported by a Qualcomm FMA fellowship. Previously, I completed my undergraduate in EE department at National Taiwan University, where I worked with Prof. Homer H. Chen on augmented reality.
My research interests cover Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, and Deep Learning. Specifically, I am interested in various view synthesis problems, from dynamic scenes to sparse input for view synthesis.
I am fortunate to collaborate with Jason Lai (Google), Yi-Chang Shih (Google), and Tsung-Yi Lin (Google, now NVIDIA), Lei Xiao (FRL) and Feng Liu (FRL, now PSU), Yannick Hold-Geoffroy (Adobe), Qi Sun (Adobe, now NYU), Stephen DiVerdi (Adobe) and Kalyan Sunkavalli (Adobe).
Currently, I am interning at Google, Project Starline, working with Michael Broxton and John Flynn.
I am looking forward to graduating in 2023 and I am looking for research scientist positions.
