About Me

My interests include coding, painting, watching movies and traveling to new places. Maybe it is way too wide, but you can conclude that I am a guy who cannot live without stories and imagination. Browsing this website, you can find part of my story.

Education

Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, UC San Diego

A Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science and Engineering working on it

My research advisors are Prof. Rajesh K. Gupta and Prof. Zhuowen Tu. I have two on-going research projects: contextual robots for disaster response, and binarized convolutional neural networks for embedded systems.

Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering, National Taiwan University

M.S. in Communication Engineering June 2007

As a member in Prof. Ruey-Beei Wu's Signal Integrity group, my research topic included through-hole via design and lossy transmission lines. We dived into the fundamental theories of electromagnetics and time-frequency analysis to solve the non-causality problem of lossy transmission lines.

Dept. of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University

B.S. Degree in EE June 2005

My study ranged over both cyber and physical worlds. For the computer science part, I took programming, discrete mathematics, advanced linear systems, micro-controller lab, computer organization, etc.; for the engineering part, I took micro-electronics, electromagnetics, modern physicas, etc.
