Grades

A final overall percentage score will be calculated based on the weighted average (weights as specified above) of the scores earned on exams and projects. This percentage score will be used to determine a final letter grade based on the following initial grading scale:
90%-100% A
80%-89% B
65%-79% C
50%-64% D
<50% F

Pluses and minuses will be attached to the letter grades as the instructor deems appropriate.

Depending on the difficulty of the particular projects, midterm, and final exam, your grade may be higher, with a maximum adjustment of 10 points (e.g., a C may go down to 55). This possible adjustment may or may not occur (if you want to be sure of an A, get at least 90% overall). This possible adjustment is not open to discussion or questions. Do not bother asking; I've said all I have to say on the matter.
