Scores

Scores are available online at Gradesource.

Exam policies

For all exams and quizzes, you may not use books or calculators. For the midterm and final exam, a double-sided 8.5x11 page of handwritten notes is allowed.

Quizzes

The quizzes will be at the beginning of class each Thursday (other than the first week) and will cover material up to and including the previous Tuesday.

The lowest quiz score is dropped. The remainder are equally weighted and worth a total of 10% of your grade.

Midterm

The midterm will be held on the assigned days (see the Schedule). The midterm is worth 25% of your grade,

The solution to the midterm is here.

Final

The final is worth 35% of your final grade.

Regrades

You have the right of appeal for grading on all tests; however, an appeal (except for clerical errors) covers the entire test, and may result in an unfavorable judgment on another problem. You have one week from the time the tests are made available for return to make appeals, including addition errors on your score. Check it over carefully when you get it. Appeals must be made in writing and turned in to the TA.

Procedure for appeals: on a separate piece of paper, clearly state which problem you believe should get a higher score, and why. Staple it to the back of the test and turn it in to the TA.

Programming Assignments

The lowest programming assignment is dropped. The remainder are equally weighted and are worth 30% of your final grade.
