This is a warm up assignment with the goals of:
It is worth less than a standard assignment: 5 points instead of the usual 25. (As long as you turn in all the components of this assignment by the deadline.) But consequently it is extremely short, and not too difficult, and will be graded pass-fail.

You have now finished Part 1.
The pre-survey gathers some information about you and will help in course planning. It might take 10-15 minutes to complete, so don’t leave it until the last minute.

For assignment development and submission we will be using a version control system called git, and a UCSD run Git server running, GitLab, open source software. You will need an account.
Go to https://git.ucsd.edu and create an account using your ACMS login credentials.
Please make sure that you do this so that we can properly set up your repository. As you now know, you will be working with a partner on the programming assignments for this course. Here’s how this will work:
Choose a partner by this Friday (allowing sufficient time to complete Assignment 0 by the deadline)
Once you have mutually agreed to partner (you will express this agreement in part 4, below), you must stick with this partner until the end of A1 and you may not work with any other person. You may change partners for the next assignment, but you must notify your partner in writing (email), and you must take this action before the deadline of the current (in progress) assignment.
So find someone who you think you want to work with. Act fast because you’ll need your partner’s information to proceed to part 5.
Finally, just one more form to complete. This one asks for your ACMS login info and you partner’s name and PID, so make sure you know this information before proceeding.
Click here to access the form.
Once you have completed this survey, you are done with Assignment 0. Stay tuned for Assignment 1, which will be posted by next Tuesday (1/11/16).
