All projects must be completed in order to pass the class. Each assignment includes a report; projects without reports will not be graded. The majority of the projects will be done in groups of two or three people. Groups may not be altered without permission. Groups will be determined by the names on each report turned in for Project #1, and you are expected to keep the same group throughout the quarter.
Projects are due at the beginning of lab class on Thursday. We'll be using each lab class to discuss the details of the next project, so be sure you're there. Late projects will be accepted, but will incur a substantial penalty.
You may informally discuss – without notes, computers, or in-depth details – your project with other groups, but that is the extent of allowed inter-group collaboration. Do not look at each others' work. Seriously! If you get stuck, consult the TAs or instructor.
Be sure not to leave files, diagrams, design documents, whiteboard sketches, etc. where people outside your group may view them. If someone else turns in what is essentially your design, you'll both be in very hot water.
Hold yourselves to this standard, since we will also hold you to it. Flunking people for cheating is a drag, but that's what we do, and we are militant about it.
