Instructions for Reading Project
- The report should be 2-3 pages.
- Your report must do all of the following:
- Provide an outline for the intended structure of your survey. It is important that your outline establish a conceptual framework for classifying the various papers in your survey, not just a laundry list of papers.
- Include a rough draft of your abstract and introduction.
- Write a one-line summary for each paper you have read so far.
- Include the complete bibliography for all papers you will be covering. Every paper should be covered by some part of your outline.
Instructions for Implementation and Research Projects
- The report should be 2-3 pages.
- Your report must do all of the following:
- Introduce the idea.
- Provide context by briefly describing the related work in the area.
- If this is a research project, discuss what makes your idea novel and how you hope your approach improves the state of the art.
- If this is an implementation project, provide a detailed overview of the particular paper whose ideas you are implementing.
- Detail your plan for performing your investigation:
- What language and tools have you decided to use?
- What are your benchmarks?
- What is your measure of success for this project?
- State preliminary results that have been achieved since the beginning of the quarter.
