Nathan Bales
About
I am a PhD Candidate at UC San Diego. I recieved my MS in Computer Science from UC San Diego in 2009, and my BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington at Seattle in 2006. I expect to complete my PhD in 2012.
Research Interests
I am interested in the application of 'classic' database techniques to new types of data and new scales of data processing brought on by the internet. My PhD research involves applications of classical database techniques to searching large corpora of text content.
I am primarily advised by Alin Deutsch.
