Kunal Korgaonkar

I completed my PhD from the CSE Department at University of California San Diego in May of 2019. I'm now a Postdoctoral Fellow at Technion (Israel).

My overarching interest has been in building computer systems that are exceedingly efficient, intelligent, trustworthy and usable, right from atomic all the way to planetary scale. My research work spans diverse topics in computer architecture, big-data algorithms and socio-technical development.

I was guided by Prof. Steven Swanson during my PhD at UC San Diego (US). My thesis focussed on building scalable and cost-effective architectures using emerging memory and storage technologies. Earlier, I completed my MS from IIT Madras (India) with guidance from Prof. V. Kamakoti. In the past, I also held positions in industry research labs focussing on chip design and architecture.

Feel free to browse through my CV (pdf) for further details on recent work!
