I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science at University of California, San Diego advised by Vineet Bafna. I received my M.S. in Computer Science from UCSD in 2012 and my B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley in 2009. My research interests lie in developing combinatorial and probabilistic algorithms for problems in computational genomics. My current work focuses on developing efficient algorithms for assembling and typing highly polymorphic and repetitive regions such as the KIR and HLA regions of the human genome.
