During the first 5 hours, the students programmed their car, tested it locally on their machine, and in a public practice contest. After all the final Software Bots were submitted, a qualifying contest was run where 60 cars competed for the top 18 spots for the finals. 6 cars competed against each other at a time on the race track racking up points for running over flags and hitting other cars with spare tires. 5 rounds were run, where each car competed once per round. At the end of the qualifying contest, the 18 teams with the most points went on to the finals. The finals where then run to determine the top 10 teams for the prizes. The winning honors go to Kevin Lee and Henrick Shyu!
