WARNING: You must turn this program in on Thursday Jan 16 between 5 am and midnight. (The "grace period" is up to midnight of the following Friday.) DO NOT TURN IT IN BEFORE Thursday Jan 16. You will not normally have such a small window of turnin time. This is necessary on this one for some technical reasons. CHECK THIS FILE AGAIN in a few days. There may be an update or correction. CSE 10 Winter 1997 Assignment 2: Required reading: Savitch text Chapter 2 Deadlines: For turnin program: Thursday Jan 16 For interview: Wednesday Jan 22 Programming assignment: Chapter 2, Programming Project 7 (page 97) of the Savitch text. IMPORTANT: You must use a loop to calculate the estimated cost. The loop will compute and add in the result of one year's inflation. There will be one loop iteration for each year. All your programs must follow the examples of the programs in the Savitch text for style. The file ~/../public/style.rules summarizes some of the style rules. The file hw02.o contains the compiled object code for a solution to this assignment. Your program should have the same I/O behavior as this program. Be sure your program works for zero years. This program and all following programs should start with a comment in the following form: //Your Names(s) //email: your email address(es) //CSE 10, Winter, 1997 //Assignment number 2 //File name = file name goes here //Date last changed = date of last change //Programming Project 7, Chapter 2 //This program estimates the cost of an item at a //future time, adjusted for inflation. For assignment 3, etc., change the assignment number, programming project number, and chapter number to the appropriate numbers and change the descriptive comment to match the assignment. The file name is for your benefit. It does not matter what file name you use. Date last changed is also for your benefit. It will not be used to test for the deadline. We test the date by when you run the turnin program.
