Basics
Attendance is not required, but STRONGLY recommended.
Discussion Sections will be lead by our outstanding TAs, Cynthia and Gjergji. They will prepare some sample questions that they think bring out more detail about difficult concepts from the week. But they'll be able to do their best job if you prepare questions for them in advance. If you bring a copy of your question on paper (and possibly send it to them via the WebBoard before discussion) they will be best able to help.
The TAs will also review, in depth, the weekly quizzes (that you will have just taken the previous day -- a great idea to review before the weekend!) and may sometimes return quizzes in section.
Finally, and very importantly, the TAs will provide instruction and tutorials in using UNIX and in coding and debugging skills. Look for some materials to show up under the "Useful Links" section of the class web page.
