Help on TURNIN

The turnin command is as follows:

    turnin -c <courseid> <filename>

For example if you have concatenated all the files
that you wish to submit into a single file called "hw1"
then the turnin will look as follows:

    turnin -c cs30s hw1

The  courseid is "cs30s" for this course.

Remember that you can turnin only a single file, hence if
you need to turnin many program files, you will either need
to "tar" them or concatenate them using "cat" and turnin the
    single file.

    Help on CAT

For these assignments please do not use tar as the graders may find it inconvenient. Please use cat command.
Suppose you have files file1, file2, and file3 to submit. You must first concatenate using cat command as follows:

            > cat file1 file2 file3 > filex

now you can submit filex using turnin command as described earlier.

    Additional Help on m4

For additional help on m4, please use UNIX "man" command. It describes the options that are available
on the version of m4 that you are currently using:
                                    > man m4

    Comments

You should annotate the file that you are turning in using /*  */ style of comments, to indicate to the grader which portions of submitted file corresponds to which questions, where code is and where results are etc.

Other comments will also work as long as you are using m4, but /* */ style is preferred since eventually
you will be using gcc. gdb, as etc. which will expect the code to be in this format.

Note: Please submit only the material that you have been asked
to submit. Disk space in the class directory is a critical
resource and we need to make prudent use of it.
