Programming Project 1 Grading Criteria

Your project was graded on how you performed on each of the steps outlined in the assignment description.
  1. Prefixing the rank on each output message - 10%
  2. Using MPI_Get_hostname to display the machine name that each process was running on - 10%
  3. Using MPI_Comm_size to display the total number of processes - 10%
  4. Checking input with MPI_Bcast - 10%
  5. Passing the input string length, dynamically allocating space for the string, and passing the input string around the ring - 30%
  6. Timing the amount of time it takes for the string to travel around the loop - 10%
  7. Using and timing the barrier - 10%
  8. Finding the average barrier wait time - 10%
