Alex will be holding extra office hours on Thursday June 10, 4-6pm in 4232 CSE Building, in addition to his usual session on Tuesday. Any unclaimed homeworks (including HW5) will be available for pickup.

The final exam will be a closed book exam, similar to our midterm.

The deadline for Homework 4 has been extended until Friday, May 21. Please send a .pdf email or drop it in Alex's mailbox (in CSE Building) before 5:00pm.

The midterm has been graded. The average is 74.8, the standard deviation is
10.4, and the range of scores is (42,97).

The midterm covers the specified sections in Chapter 1, 4-6, as in the
course schedule.

We have increased the class size to 70. If you are among the top 28 out
of 30 on the waiting list, you should enroll ASAP. The remaining two students
will wait for drop-outs or non-enrollments and are perhaps likely to get in also.
Because of the large class size, we will have an additional TA, Wenbo Zhao.
04/02/10 The discussion sections will take place in Warren Lecture Hall 2111.
04/01/10 The discussion sections will take place on Thursdays at 4:00pm. A further announcement will be posted when the room location is finalized. Alex's office hours will be on Tuesdays at 12:00pm.

03/28/10 Please pick up the class page and a questionnaire. Fill in
the questionnaire which should then be returned in class.
