Do-it-yourself Diffie-Hellman

This activity requires two people! Find a partner to do this activity with.
In this activity, you'll carry out Diffie-Hellman key exchange yourself—you and your partner are playing the roles of Alice and Bob!
For the prime modulus p we'll let p be the prime number 12968209 (which happens to be 10 + 0xC5E107), and for the generator g we'll use g=2.
Below is a calculator that will compute modular exponentiation for you, along with a tool to generate random numbers between 1 and p-2.

Answer the following questions:
  1. What was your secret exponent?
  2. What value did you send to your partner?
  3. What value did you receive from your partner?
  4. What was the shared secret value you computed at the end?
  5. Did you and your partner get the same shared secret value?
