From chapter 3 of text book
Problem 18:
with 8k pages and 48-bit virtual address space, the number of pages in address space is 2**48/2**13 = 2**35 which is about 34 billion. Inverted page tableneeds as many entries as there are frames in real memory which is 2**32 = 4 billion locations - the number of frames being 2**19 = 524,288 (512k). This is more manageable.
Problem 19:
NRU replaces page 0; FIFO 2; LRU 1; and Second chance 0.
Problem 20:
FIFO 6 page faults; LRU 7. For FIFO, the faults are at x0x1x7x2x3271x0 For LRU x0x1x7x2x3271x0x3
Problem 21:
The counters are: Page 0: 0110110 ; Page 1: 01001001 ; Page 2: 00110111; Page 3: 10001011
Problem 26:
C vector is c1 to c6 is (1,8,6,6,2,1) and cinfinity is 8 F vector is (31, 23,
17, 11, 9, 8)
