Computer Organization

Course Overview

Welcome to CSE 30! This course provides an introduction computer hardware and low-level programming. Official course description: Introduction to organization of modern digital computers. Students learn how to write programs in assembly, design basic processors capable of executing the assembly programs, and how to build the basic components of processors using digital logic. Topics include assembly programming, combinational and sequential logic, processor performance, processor design, and the memory hierarchy.

By the end of this course, you will understand how high-level software code translates down into machine instructions and how hardware executes program instructions at the architecture level.
