Evaluation:
Assignments: Homework problems will be assigned on October 13 and 27, November 10 and December 1; only a selected subset of problems as indicated on the homework will be graded. Homeworks will be due at 9:00 AM on October 26, November 9 and 23 (all Mondays) and December 13 (Sunday), respectively. You need to turn in electronically your homework solutions by the deadline; any homeworks turned in after the deadline will not be read and will receive a grade of zero. You can work in teams of two on all homeworks. Solutions to the graded homework problems will be covered in the discussion sections, but will not be posted.
Integrity: All work in any exam must be strictly your own; you must neither copy from nor provide assistance to anybody else. Any work in your submitted homework should be strictly your own (and possibly as a result of collaboration with your partner if you are working in a team of two). Any other collaboration or consultation, in an exam or homework, will be deemed improper and will result in sanctions according to the UCSD Policy on Integrity of Scholarship. Each student is assumed to be familiar with the UCSD Policy on Integrity of Scholarship as described in the UCSD General Catalog. If you have any questions about these policies, be sure to discuss them with the instructor.
