Lab 1 Instructions

Getting Acclimated

• Log in to a lab machine running GNU/Linux. If you need to find your account information, use the ACS account lookup tool.
• Run prep cs70f (by typing it at a shell prompt) to prepare your environment for working on CSE 70.
• Learn about IRC and the project by exploring the CSE 70 project wiki. See especially the links about IRC like IRChelp.org, which provides some introductory material.
• Run some IRC clients available in the lab. You'll learn a lot faster by jumping in, playing around, experimenting, and trying to do things. Have fun!
