CSE 140L Hardware Lab One
Objective
In this lab, you will learn to build gray-code encoder and decoder. You will also learn to build a 7-segment display encoder
Part 1
Construction of a Combinational Logic for the Gray-code ENCODER
abc wxy
000 000
001 001
010 011
011 010
100 110
101 111
110 101
111 100
Build this encoder circuit and demonstrate the simulation to the TA.
Part 2
Construction of a Combinational Logic for the Gray-code DECODER

100 111
Build this decoder circuit and demonstrate the simulation to the TA.
Part 3
Save the circuit from part 1 & part 2 as a component library (see tutorial). Then, create a circuit
connecting the output of the ENCODER to the input of the DECODER. Simulate the circuit
and your output of this circuit should be the same value as the input.
Build this decoder circuit and demonstrate the simulation to the TA.
Part 4
Given a number between 0 and 9 as input, output the 7-segment display code
