Q2: How can I tap off a
3-bit bus instr[6:4] from the 7-bit bus instr[6:0]?
The
procedure is pretty much the same as we tap off a signal bit signal from a
bus signal.
Suppose we already have the
7-bit bus instr[6:0] as shown below.
Attach
a bus tap to it and name the outgoing net from the tap to what you want.
