About Me
I have been a graduate student at UC San Diego since the fall of 2009. I work with Geoff Voelker and Stefan Savage. My current research is to learn how people use DNS by inferring the intent of domain name registrants, and I'm very interested in how new TLDs impact registrations. I have previously investigated email spam from a monetary perspective by measuring many email spammers' costs and revenue. I intend to graduate with a PhD in the summer of 2015.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in the spring of 2009, where I studied Computer Science. My undergraduate research advisor was Paul Barford. We did work relating to both botnets and network measurement during my last two years there. I also spent a lot of time in the Undergraduate Projects Lab while I was there.
