Bio Lawrence Saul is a Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at UC San Diego. His main research interests are in machine learning, high dimensional data analysis, and latent variable modeling. He served previously as the Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Machine Learning Research. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from M.I.T. and worked previously at AT&T Labs and the University of Pennsylvania.
