Mettler  Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi, 2001, $14  VG

A focussed, balanced, elegant Cab. A tad tannic and lacking some power [12/30].

Chateau Suduiraut  Sauternes, Sauternes, 1st Cru, 2001, $30/500ML  VG+

Lovely rich orange flavors balanced with a bit of earthy tar underneath [12/30].

Pascual Toso  Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendoza, Chile, Reserve, 2003, $11  VG

Nice focussed fruit with some earth behind it [12/31].

Vistalba Vineyards  Malbec, Mendoza, Chile, Terrazas Riserva, 2001, $16  VG+

A lot of dark, ruminative fruit, and ample earth. Dusty on the palate. Worthy of slow drinking. I blended it with the Pascual Toso, and got a nice Argentinian Meritage [12/31].
