I am a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at UCSD. My interests are interdisciplinary and lie broadly in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Modeling. I work with Prof. Angela Yu, and have channeled my efforts to develop computational models of human and animal decision making. The purpose of my research is two fold: to come up with algorithms that would enable computers to match human performance on decision making tasks, as well as to potentially understand how humans and animals might be solving such problems.

I am one of the recipients of 2012-13 Qualcomm Fellow-Mentor-Advisor Fellowship, and previously of 2010-13 Focht Powell Fellowship.

I spent the summer of 2011 at Oracle and summer of 2014 at Microsoft Research working on machine learning applications. Before starting grad school, I worked for two years at a startup in Bangalore, India where I developed algorithms to improve channel communication. I got my B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur majoring in electrical engineering.

Here is my detailed CV.
