I am a second year Ph.D student in Computer Engineering at UC San Diego. My focus is underwater exploration and computer vision with Dr. Ryan Kastner's group. Currently I am working on developing an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle that will execute a Next Best View algorithm to create high quality and complete 3D reconstructions of coral reefs.
I received my BSE in Computer Systems Engineering from Arizona State University in 2016. During my time there I led the NASA Space Grant Robotics team in building underwater ROVs and competing in the MATE ROV Competition. I also worked with Dr. Cody Youngbull to develop networking protocols and embedded operating systems for underwater optical sensor networks in coordination with UON Technologies.
I also enjoy writing and recording music. Over the years I have written and performed with groups from jazz bands to indie rock and punk bands to experimental electronic projects.
