Christopher Lee is Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Computer Science, at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is director of the UCLA Ph.D. Program in Bioinformatics. He received a Ph.D. in Structural Biology from Stanford University in 1993. Prior to joining UCLA in 1998, he spent 5 years in industry, co-founding Molecular Applications Group, an early bioinformatics software company later acquired by Celera. He has worked on many aspects of genome evolution and computational biology algorithms, and focuses currently on information theoretic methods for automated experiment planning. Dr. Lee has published over 80 scientific publications.
