I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, advised by Amin Vahdat and Keith Marzullo. Broadly, my research interests are rooted in systems and networking, in particular distributed systems and algorithms. I have most recently been working on challenges in data center communication: enabling scalable communication via strategic label assignment and exploring the relationship between fault tolerance and key properties of hierarchical topologies.

I received a B.S. and an M.Eng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and will complete my PhD in Computer Science in the Summer of 2012.

Outside of work, my interests are primarily musical. I have been a member and director of three different a cappella singing groups: The UCSD Beat, The Microsoft Acoustix, and Cornell University's Absolute A Cappella.
