Macneil Shonle

I completed my Computer Science Ph.D. at UCSD on June 11th, 2009. My work was advised by Bill Griswold and Sorin Lerner.

I graduated from Clark University where I studied Computer Science and Mathematics. I then studied part-time at Northeastern University while I worked at Sun Microsystems on ClusterTools, including the Prism parallel debugger.

I like to fly Southwest... literally.

There are some interesting names in my family. My wife is Anna Graham, and my nephew is Io Moore.

Update: Macneil Shonle is now an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Here is:

  • My email address: mshonle @ cs.ucsd.edu
  • My CV
  • My ACM Author Page
  • My Erdös number: 3 (Paul Erdös→ Ernst Specker→ Karl Lieberherr→ me)
  • My IMDB Page. If you count production work, then my Kevin Bacon number is also 3 (Kevin Bacon was in A Few Good Men with Noah Wyle who was in Donnie Darko with Gary Lundy who was in Burning Annie, which was associate produced by me)
