I am a PhD Student in Computer Science and Engineering Department at University of California,San Diego. I joined the PhD program in September, 2010, and am advised by Prof. Tajana Rosing as part of the System Energy Efficiency Lab (SEELab). My research interests are:
1. Energy efficiency, automation, and validation of renewable-energy systems and smart grids
2. Power- and context-aware computing in embedded and mobile systems
My current research involves modeling and optimizing the behavior of loads in a smart grid environment, using automation and context-aware load prediction.
I received my Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (double major) from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville in June 2008.
My bachelor thesis was "Magnetic Bearing Controller for Life Flow Heart Pump", which was supervised by Prof. Harry Powell and Prof. Rosalyn Berne.
