My research advisors are Prof. Rajesh K. Gupta and Prof. Zhuowen Tu. I have two on-going research projects: contextual robots for disaster response, and binarized convolutional neural networks for embedded systems.

As a member in Prof. Ruey-Beei Wu's Signal Integrity group, my research topic included through-hole via design and lossy transmission lines. We dived into the fundamental theories of electromagnetics and time-frequency analysis to solve the non-causality problem of lossy transmission lines.

Data Scientist (Summer Internship) Aug. 2015 - Sep. 2015

My scope of work included designing and implementing signal processing algorithms dedicated for electrocardiogram (ECG) identification. This internship experience was wonderful in two folds: first, all my colleagues worked smartly and efficiently. I really learned a lot from them regarding to cooperation and negoation. Second, this job was very challenging for involving many stat-of-the-art theories both in unsupervised machine-learning and advanced filtering techniques.

Advanced Engineer Jan. 2008 - June 2013

I was in charge of both circuitry design for front-end lumped filters and baseband digital modules for TV, Wi-Fi, and TD-SCDMA signals. I also took part in developing the testing software application for video streaming, television signal and infrared remote controllers.

Compulsory military service

Corporal Oct. 2007 - Jan. 2008

I joined the compulsory military service in Taiwan. During the service, I learned not only the armament and survive in a tough situation, but also an opinion on the relation between the individual and collective.
