HAN SUK KIM (김한석, 金漢錫)

I received my Ph.D degree in June 2011 from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California San Diego. My advisor was Dr. Jürgen P. Schulze. The committee members for my defense was Larry Smarr, Henrik Wann Jensen, Falko Kuester, and Maryann Martone. All of them gave me tremendous help on research and encouraged me to go through this wonderful journey.

I was fortunate to work with many great people at UCSD and the list is too long to put it here (see my dissertation and you will find my five advisors). However, I would like to thank Professor Andrew A. Chien (Concurrent Systems and Architecture Group), who gave me an opportunity to start my study, and Professor Scott B. Baden (Scientific Computation Group), who allowed me to explore high performance computing.

I received my B.S. degree in computer science and engineering from Seoul National University in 2005.
