I am a PhD student in the Computer Science and Engineering department at the University of California, San Diego. I am working in the Systems and Networking group under the supervision of Kenneth Yocum. I received my Diploma from the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens in July 2004. My research interests lie in the areas of large scale data processing, distributed systems, stream processing and data management. Currently, I'm working on BIPS, a programming model and runtime system for incrementally processing unstructured data. I'm also working on Mortar, a distributed stream processor that focuses on scalability, accuracy and fault tolerance in wide-area environments. |
