Instructions for Presenters

Camera-Ready Submissions

A camera-ready version of each presenter's research summary and permission form should be turned in by May 7, 2009. Final versions should be sent in PDF format to mobisys.phdforum.2010@gmail.com.

Submissions must be 3 pages in length or shorter and must follow the ACM formatting guidelines available at http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates. Please make sure that your submission is formatted for US Letter sized paper.

The required permission form can be downloaded here. While, copyright remains with the author(s), this form gives us authorization to reproduce and distribute your abstract, as part of the workshop proceedings. Your abstract will not be included unless you fax/email a signed copy of the form to before May 1. Fax number and email address for permission forms are listed on the permission form.

In addition to the final version of the research summary, presenters may also submit an updated version of their short-biographical sketch (max 1 page) describing affiliations and research activities. These sketches will be made available to the panel during the PhD Forum, but will not be published. Please do not include the biographical sketch in the same file as your research summary.

Talks

At the forum presenters will be provided time for a short talk followed by a discussion period. Each presenter will have a total of 20 minutes—5 minutes for the talk, and 15 minutes for discussion.
