Announcing an ITICSE '07 Working Group:

Renee McCauley, College of Charleston
Debugging can be difficult and frustrating for novice
programmers. We propose forming a working group to create a set
of web-based debugging tutorials that use video clips along with
step-by-step written instructions to teach students how to go about
debugging common novice errors.
- Application Procedures: Deadline March 26 , but we appreciate early applications.
- Submit an application by email to Beth Simon (bsimon@cs.ucsd.edu) with the subject line
Debug WG application
- Include in that email an ATTACHMENT of a word or pdf document. This document should be a maximum 1 page,
12pt font. In that page please:
- Tell us why you are interested in this working group.
- Describe your background and how it will benefit the project.
- Include a link to your web page.
- Basic Expectations of Working Group Members (this list subject to some change)
- A few papers of background reading. (to be assigned)
- Bring a laptop to the WG and be willing to install some video capture software (TBD).
- Participate in a few (1-3) pre-WG VOIP meetings.
