Research interests

My area of interest is compilers for high-performance and parallel computers. I am currently working on the hierarchical tiling project, where I am addressing the issue of determining tile sizes and shapes to achieve minimal program execution time. My advisors are Jeanne Ferrante and Larry Carter.

: The project I worked on addressed the problem of partitioning; objects in a program running in a distributed setting, with; the goal of minimizing the total execution time. During the; course of the summer I developed simple, efficient partitioning; algorithms, that are being submitted for a patent. To better; understand the behaviour of these algorithms and visualize the; partitioning of the objects, I also implemented a graphical; display tool in java.
