Irvine & LA Visit May 2000

After visiting a company in the vicinity, we stopped by UC, Irvine to meet with groups working in similar areas. We lurked poor Ph.D. students and their advisors away from their concentrated Friday afternoon studies...

As a nice surprise, Alex's old office mate from his Ph.D. years was also visiting at UCI. The two had some nostalgia together when they remembered their gradute school years. Despite our efforts, Kyle didn't disclose any secrets from Alex's former life...

As usual, Alex suggested that we go to a coffe house and enjoy some time in the lovely UCI campus...

Finally, Daniel Gajski joined us after his class late in the afternoon. Some of Alex's students were really happy to put a face to name behind all those books they have been studying.
