The Grid Computing Lab at UCSD/CSE was created by Fran Berman in 1999 as a successor to the AppLeS group (created by Fran Berman and Rich Wolski). Fran Berman and Henri Casanova co-lead the GCL in 1999 and 2000.
Some
GCL activities are being continued as part of
the
Grid Research And Innovation Laboratory (GRAIL).
