Concurrent Systems Architecture Group (CSAG)

Research on software, system, and hardware architecture issues in parallel and distributed computer systems (e.g. scalable clusters, Grids, desktop grids, and high speed network coupled systems).   Our research efforts reflect a cooperative blend across many fields of expertise, including efforts to build resource managers, modeling tools, optimizing compilers, fast object runtimes, high speed communication software and hardware for high performance computing. Current efforts are focused on Grids, Sensor Nets, Optical Communication, and Peer to Peer computing.  CSAG is led by Andrew A. Chien.
