Results for UCSD Fall 2006 Programming Contest

We had 45 students participate in the Fall 2006 UCSD Programming Contest. The contest consisted of 6 problems, and the top honors go to Ross Tate for being the only student to solve all 6 problems! We had 2 students solve 4 problems, 9 students solve 3 problems, 9 students solve 2 problems, and 11 students solve 1 problem.

Thanks goes to Mike Dini and The Dini Group for providing the prizes, food and drink, and support for the contest. Michael Vrable deserves a lot of praise for setting up and running the contest. In addition to Michael V., Michael Van Biesbrouck, Peng Du, William Matthews, Roshni Malani, Md. Kamruzzaman and Jeremy Lau helped judge the contest. Prof. Brad Calder, who ran the contest in previous years, also helped enormously. Thanks also to Prof. Geoff Voelker, who helped organize the event and provided many of the photographs.
