CSE105, Winter 2006 - Quiz 3 Prep. Homework

Note:This homework will not be handed in, and you will not receive a grade on it. However, you are required to do the homework on your (solving the problems, and writing down the solution) in order to prepare for the third quiz. Reading the problems and mentally solving them is not enough: writing the solutions is an important part of the homework, as the grades you will receive on the quizzes and final exam will be based both on the correctess of your solution and clarity of presentation. It is important that you solve the problems before checking the solutions. You should check the solutions only after you are reasonable confident that you solved the problem correctly. If you are not quite sure if your solutions are correct, you should go back to the theory and study from the book. Trying to learn how to solve the problems "by examples" does not work.
