CSE105, Winter 2006 - Quiz 1 Prep. Homework

Note:This homework will not be handed in, and you will not receive a grade on it. However, you are required to do the homework (solving the problems, and writing down the solution) in order to prepare for the first quiz on Jan 26th. Reading the problems and mentally solving them is not enough: writing the solutions is an important part of the homework, as the grades you will receive on the quizzes and final exam will be based both on the correctess of your solution and clarity of presentation.

The following excercises and problems correspond to the part of the program covered in the first quiz. You should start working on the homework as soon as possible.

All the following exercises and problems are from the textbook. (Numbers refer to the first edition to the book. The numbers for the second edition, if different, are given in parenthesis.)
