FINAL EXAM Posted: 03/06/03

The final exam will be like the midterm, but will be about twice as long. It will cover all the material in the class, not jut the material since the midterm.

A sample final exam is on this web site. (click here)

Time and Place:
AM Section A00: Wednesday, March 19th @ 8 - 10:59am, Center 109
(Note this is NOT the regular lecture room)

PM Section B00: Wednesday, March 19th @ 11:30 - 2:29pm, Solis 111

You must take the final in the section in which you are enrolled, unless you get permission before hand to take it in the other section. You must have a good and documented reason to switch. Not wanting to get up early in the morning is not a good reason. If it is any consolation, if you come to the early exam at 9am you will probably still have plenty of time, but it might be safer to start at 8.

Closed book, You may bring one file card with notes of the same size as was allowed for the midterm.

You Must Have a Picture ID to Take the Final You must have either a UCSD student ID with picture, a valid driver's license with picture, or other ID approved by the instructor at least 48 hours before the exam.

GRADE SOURCE NUMBER Posted: 01/22/03

From the TA - Dayou Zhou (dzhou@cs.ucsd.edu):

I have just sent out a 4-digit 'secret number' to everyone's SUNPAL account. Using that number, you can look up your grades and rank in the class at this URL (it's also in the email):
http://www.gradesource.com/reports/819/2980/index.html

Right now it has all HW1 and Quiz1 scores and some HW2 scores as I receive them. Please note that Quiz1 is shown to be 10% of your grade (which seems to be a lot), but this is because we only had one quiz so far. As more quizzes take place, the 10% will be shared among them.

Also as a reminder of the policy:
- If you miss a quiz you get 0.
- Your lowest quiz will be dropped.
- Your lowest homework grade will also be dropped. (new)

If you see any discrepancy or problem please contact me asap.

QUIZ INFO Posted: 01/21/03

Quizzes can be picked up from the TA, either in discussion section (either one) or in the TA's Office Hours

HW2 UPDATE Posted: 01/18/03

This is because the main method is static.
