The instructions say the exception constructors should take an int argument.
It should be a double argument, not an int.
|
| HW5 Update |
Posted: 2/12/02 |
Do not make the exception classes inner classes.
Make them regular exception classes on their own.
(This will eliminate problems that can occur with inner classes.)
Leave the exception classes in your account and do
not change them in any way after the turnin deadline.
Also, a few slight changes have been made to the sample test program. See Assignments section for details

| Midterm Update |

Exception handling will not be covered on the CSE 11 midterm.
The questions on the sample midterm are from another quarter.
You can just ignore the exception handling questions on the sample midterm.
|
| Homework 4 Turn-in Deadline Postponed |
Posted: 2/04/02 |
Because many proctors will be grading exams on February 5,
you may have trouble finding a proctor in the lab at some
hours on Feb 5..
To help accommodate the lab crowding
homework 4 turnin deadline is postponed until Feb 8.
But, if you are trying for an early interview (one point deal), still aim
for Feb 7, because proctor hours end early on Fridays and
Feb 8 is a Friday. (An interview on Feb 8 WILL
count as an early interview).

It is allowed (and encouraged) to add a static method that
adds two Temperatures and returns a Temperature.
Be sure it gives a meaningful result when it
adds a Celsius temperature to a Fahrenheit temperature.
Syntax would be:
temp3 = Temperature.add(temp1, temp2);
tempi's are of type Temperature.
To compute the average, you should use two variables (objects)
of type Temperature. One to read temperatures one at a time and one to hold
a running sum.
