Class Guidelines
Homework should be done individually. You should solve and write the
problems up yourself. Discussing basic techniques with classmates is
OK, but there is a fine line between "discussing" (which is OK) and
"getting the answer" (which is cheating). To ensure you don't cross
the line, never make written notes while discussing individual
homeworks.
The following guidelines hold:
-
Do not share written solutions or partial solutions with others.
-
Acknowledge all supplementary sources, apart from discussions with a
class mate, as described above.
-
Late homework assignments will be penalized 20% and will be accepted only up
to the next class meeting.
- The mid term exam is closed book and closed notes.
